A valid Determination of Intellectual Disability (DID), or
Qualify under an identified related condition with an IQ of 75 or below
Individuals must be offered an HCS slot by the State of Texas
Must meet financial criteria for a Medicaid Waiver program

How HCS Slots Work

Enrollment depends on HCS slot availability. After eligibility steps are completed, the State of Texas will notify you when an HCS slot becomes available.

Wait for Slot Availability : The State of Texas will notify you when an HCS slot becomes available.
Choose a Provider : Once offered a slot, you can select an HCS provider to deliver services tailored to your needs.
Sign Service Agreements : Work with your chosen provider to develop an individualized service plan and begin receiving supports.
